Don't these strawberries look scrumptious? Mmmmmmm...I love fresh strawberries. We have been eating them like crazy lately. They are so sweet and juicy. I made this card for a demo swap I am involved in. I had to make 10 of them and they were loads of fun to make. The rule of the swap was to use the Tart & Tangy set out of the new Occasions mini catalog. I just love how it turned out.
Can you guess what I used to make the white dots on the wild wasabi strip? It's the eraser of a pencil! I just dipped it in the whisper white craft ink and then stamped it on the paper. Neat huh? I really want the polka dot background stamp from Stampin' Up! but just have not placed my order for it yet. This gave me the same look for just pennies! The pretty in pink base was also stamped with whisper white carft ink using the Sprinkles stamp set. It was just too plain without something in the background.
The strawberries were made by coloring with real red and glorious green markers directly on the stamp before stamping the paper. I also stamped an extra image on scrap paper and cut out the stem. It is popped up on dimensionals as is the scallop strawberry. The strawberries are all glittery since I covered them in 2-way glue and sprinkled dazzling diamonds on them. I love how they turned out. They really make the card pop. They almost look like they were dipped in sugar.
Hope you're having a springy day! Happy Stamping~

I love the way the colors blend so nicely on this card! Ok, now this set is on my wish list. I didn't think I HAD to have it.. I should have known better. :)
