Sky Simply Said

Hi everyone! Sorry about not posting, but I am busy working on several projects which all seem to be due at the same time. Isn't that how life goes? One project I am working on is a card for another demo only swap in which I need to make 50 +1 of the same card. I designed my card and fell in love with it, not realizing just how time consuming it was going to be to re-create 51 of them!!! Oh well- I sure hope everyone else likes them as much as I do.
Since I have been busy with that and making some taekwondo birthday cards for our Taekwondo school, I don't have anything new to show you so I went searching through my pictures. This is a card I had planned to use during one of my workshops, but the hostess decided she wanted me to demo a different set that she had already had. I aim to please so this card basically went into my "stash". For those of you who don't really know me- I am a cardaholic. Yes- I admit it. I keep at least one of every card I ever design or create. I also add a recipe to the back and file it away for future inspiration. I also tend to make a few of the same card at the same time and file those in another spot to have on hand when I need a card. I have them filed/sorted by event (IE: birthday, anniversary, get well, etc...)
This card uses the Simply Said set in the catalog. It is stamped in basic black onto whisper white card stock and then colored in with markers. It then is attached to a piece of basic black and black gingham ribbon is wrapped around it before attaching to the soft sky card base. The sentiment is stamped in basic black ink in the lower right corner. The larger flower image is stamped in basic black onto a scrap piece of whisper white, colored in with marker and then punched out using my 1-1/4" circle punch. This image is adhered to a 1-3/8" basic black circle and then attached to a scallop of soft sky. I used a rhinestone brad in the center to give it some depth and popped it up on dimensionals. As an after thought I used my paper piercer tool and punched a small hole in each of the scallops. Viola! Quick and easy card.
Happy Stamping~
